Kingdom Tower

We had the opportunity to visit the award winning Kingdom Tower. Nearly 300 meters high, this building contains the Guiness Book's highest Mosque. The birds-eye view photos come from the bridge at the very top of the building. FYI--The architecht for the project was American.

The architecture there is really amazing. I really think that the pictures of Kingdom Tower are really cool and the other buildings are cool as well. Do you know the names of any other of the buildings, like the circle tower outside your hotel window? I've always liked architecture, so the pictures are really cool. I emailed the building pictures to my uncle, who also likes architecture, and he says the buildings are "very unique and different". Have you showed the students our letters yet? I'm hoping that they respond. I'd really like to meet some of the students there.

Hey Mr. Senrick! I hope your trip is going well! Looking at all of your pictures, I am amazed how Saudi Arabia looks! I never pictured that it would look like it does! All the buildings in your pictures are very impressive! What kind of music do they listen to in Saudi Arabia? Are there any common foods that are served with evey meal? Obviously your living in luxury, according to the pictures of your hotel room. Did you have to have a translator for any of the activities you did while you are on your trip? I also have one more question, I don't know if you can answer it, but I'll give it a try. Does the age of children vary in the same class? What I mean to say is, are all the same grades in the same classroom in Saudi Arabia, or is it like Oltman Junior High?
Can't wait to see in class again,

Hey Senrick-
Well, looks like you're having fun. The pictures of the buildings are beautiful. I especially like the ones of the ceilings, they look pretty. Plus, I liked the the 'bird's eye view' of the buildings. So did you ever get to give the students our letters? I thinik it would've been cool to read what they replied back. One more question, how different is their schools from ours? Well, can't wait until you come back to class.

the buildings look very complex. what have you noticed about the different ways they engineer their buildings. I realy like the one that looks like a large point with a sphere in it.

Hey Sol - Can you share any stereotypes that you had going into this experience that have been completely refuted - or that have been reaffirmed - by your experiences?
