The NJHS of Saudi Arabia...

While at the Help Center, a center for childrend with disabilities described in another entry, I met an awesome group of high school students. The girls pictured below are seniors at an international school in Jeddah. They are from Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq to name a few countries. They were volunteering as part of their programs. They explained that this opportunity has taught them about responsibility, gratefulness, and caring...so valuable! They were very sweet and excited to talk with me about lots of things! Mostly, they wanted American kids to know that Arab youth are just like them--they're into driving, having fun, and being teenagers. They told me that they love Cadillacs and travelling! (Many of them have visited or lived in the US or other countries...) They were really cool and a highlight of the day. Also, I have their email addresses and they were very interested in establishing contact with American students!!!!!!!!
